Here at William Dyer Electrical we appreciate the value of apprenticeships, not only for the work place but also the young people who participate.
Apprenticeships consist of on the job training, and therefore allowing the young person to learn with a ‘hands on’ approach and allowing us to pass on our years of experience. We are proud to invest in young people and truly believe knowledge is power, this is why WM Dyer have invested over £10,000.00 in a purpose-built training bay at our offices.
Managing Director William Dyer: “My legacy is not the wonderful buildings we have completed which is fantastic, but I want my legacy to be how many apprentices we have taken from school leaving age to fully qualified engineers and in the last 25 years we are now over 100.”
We ensure all our apprentices not only benefit from the invaluable hands on training by working alongside our highly skilled team, but also gain important official accreditations. We work to the City and Guilds frame work ensuring official qualifications can be achieved. As well as also undertaking beneficial external training for example: IPAF-PASMA-UKATA Asbestos Awareness-First Aid at Work-ROSPA-IOSH-Face Fit Training.
Therefore, giving the young person the rounded education, they deserve. This has been hugely successful, and we take 6 x apprentices each year in partnership with Bolton College.
