Our Managing Director William Dyer, along with our Contracts Manager David Bradley along with partners from Willmott Dixon (Project Manager, Joshua Heavens and Rosie Aspinall site administrator and the sites QS Ryan McGarr) went back to school for the day.
Willmott Dixon are building a new modern school for Chorley New Road Primary with William Dyer Electrical undertaking the M&E installation, and were kindly invited into to school to speak to years 3, 4 and 5 about electrical installations.
Willmott Dixon have invested in 30 electronic kits to show students the importance of electrical installations not only in the new project but in everyday life. We believe it is really important to engage with the children, as on a daily basis seeing us work on the new site, so we were excited for the opportunity to be hands on and show the children exactly what we do.
We think it was safe to say everyone enjoyed the day, the children loved it! Going as far as to say it was “This is the best day at school ever” and “please come back tomorrow”
Our Managing Director thoroughly enjoyed the day, and expresses his thanks to the school for welcoming the team in. Also, for how well behaved the children were, and how well they engaged with the visitors. The children were a credit to the school parents and themselves.
